Strokestown Park House An 18th century mansion which has been faithully restored. It is unique in that it retains its original furnishings and professionally guided tours allow visitors to browse freely through the stately surroundings.
The 4 acre 18th century walled pleasure garden been fully restored to its' original splendour.It's piece de resistance is its' herbaceous border which is recorded in the Guinness Book of Records as the longest herbaceous border in Britain & Ireland.
The Famine Museum at Strokestown A combination of original documents and images from the Strokestown Park collection are used to explain the circumstances of the Great Irish Famine of the 1840's. This collection boasts an extensive range of papers including actual letters written by the tenants on the Strokestown Estate at the time of the famine.
Arigna Mines Offering visitors a chance to experience the life of an Arigna miner underground, whilst also taking the opportunity to interpret and preserve the social and mining traditions of the area.
The Smallest Chapel in Europe Costello Chapel, which is believed to be the second smallest chapel in in the world, measures only 16ft long, 12ft wide and 30ft high. It was built in 1877 by Edward Costello, and is to be found at the centre of the bustling town of Carrick-on-Shannon.

Theatre Backstage Theatre offers a programme of events encompassing a broad range of disciplines such as Drama, dance, and classical & contemporary music. Companies who have performed here in the past include Druid Theatre Company, the National Theatre (Abbey and Peacock), Red Kettle Theatre Company and Macnas.
